Darrell McEntire joined the Wayne State University football coaching staff in the spring of 2023 and will assist head coach Tyrone Wheatley as Director of Football Operations. In 2024, McEntire added responsibilities with Player Engagement.
He graduated from WSU in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Communications.

2016:Â Played for Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minn. ... saw action in eight of nine contests for the Ironmen ... recorded a season-high 11 tackles (8-3) in a 31-24 triumph over Mesabi Range ... forced a fumble and had two fumble recoveries vs. Itasca ... tallied a season-best seven assisted tackles against Central Lakes ... finished the year with 46 tackles (25-21).
