Prior to rejoining Fort Lewis, Moore spent three seasons (2018-19-22) at Western New Mexico University.  In 2022, the Mustangs bounced back from a 1-10 record the previous season to finish 6-5 overall and fifth in the Lone Star Conference.  With the Mustangs, he oversaw the development of the tight ends and defensive back positions.  While at WNMU, Moore helped the development of 2019 D2football.com NCAA Division II All-American and First Team All-LSC player Reggie Colson III.  Additionally, Moore also coached other all-conference players such as Kourde Roberts, Joshua Powell, and Isaac Crichton.  Powell was named the LSC Freshman of the Year as well.

Moore served as tight ends and offensive line coach at Scottsdale Community College for the 2017 campaign after a one-year stint with Fort Lewis back in 2016 as the wide receivers and tight ends coach.  While with the Skyhawks in 2016, Moore helped lead AJ Shaw to Second Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) honors as a tight end and Jordan Gillen All-RMAC Honorable Mention at wide receiver.  He previously was the head coach at Antonito High School in 2015.

He began his collegiate playing career as a quarterback at San Jose Community College followed by two seasons as a wide receiver at Northern Colorado.  Moore concluded his career throwing the javelin for Adams State.  He still holds one of the top marks at 51.51m set at the 2013 RMAC Outdoor Championships.

Moore earned his bachelor's degree in Communications from Adams State (Alamosa, Colo.) in 2014, and a master's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western New Mexico in 2020.

A native of Denver, Moore and his wife, Deanna, have four sons, Jeremih, Jaxson, Jaylen and Josiah.
