Jeremiah Mullinax joined the Wayne State University football coaching staff in August of 2019 and served as a graduate assistant coach working with the tight ends during the 2019 campaign. He is slated to work with Mark Nowicki and the tight ends in 2020.
Three of his student-athletes (Steven Glenn, Luke Ketterman and Nick Poterack) received Academic All-GLIAC recognition, with Poterack also being named to the Honorable Mention All-GLIAC team. Mullinax's tight end group helped WSU compile a 7-1 GLIAC record after leading the conference (league games only) in red zone offense (83% - 19-of-23), ranking second in both scoring offense (29.6 points per game) and third-down conversion percentage (41% - 43-of-105), and third in both rushing yards per game (194.6) and average yards per carry (4.6).
Nationally the Warriors were 10th in fewest turnovers (12), 14th in time of possession (32:40), 18th in fewest fumbles lost (5), and 24th in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.18).
He graduated from Western Michigan University in May of 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Sports Marketing.  After redshirting for the Broncos in 2013, Mullinax played in 11 games in 2014 primarily on special teams, making seven tackles.  He made a career-high two tackles against both Murray State and Eastern Michigan.Â
Mullinax appeared in 10 contests in 2015 with two of his five receptions going for touchdowns - 29 yards against Michigan State and one yard at Ohio State.  He had a season-best two catches against Middle Tennessee in the Bahama Bowl, which was the first bowl game win in school history.
He transferred to WMU from Concordia-Ann Arbor and earned a full scholarship after walking on. He played in 10 games in 2011 for the inaugural CU Cardinals football team making 20 tackles (7-13) with a pass break-up as a safety.
A recipient of the Senior Leadership Award from WMU, Mullinax was invited to the Spring League (Napa, Calif.) in 2017, and also had a tryout with WWE in Orlando in 2017.  He worked in the private sector for both State Farm and Quicken Loans since graduation and played in the Arena Football League in the spring of 2019 for the West Michigan Ironmen.
A native of Lincoln Park, Mullinax graduated from Southgate Anderson in 2011. He was a four-year member of the SAHS Academic Honor Roll and was a starter on the District Championship squad. Mullinax was voted to the All-Downriver Dream Team, All-State Honorable Mention, Special Teams MVP, and served as a team captain for the Titans.
