Terrance Woods enters his 31st year in the athletic department in the fall of 2021.  He served 18 years as the equipment manager for the Wayne State University football team, and spent time as the equipment manager for the Warrior baseball squad.

Woods worked in the athletic department as a student assistant in the intramural sports program for three years from 1987-90.  He spent one semester in the Student Center Building as a student loading dock/events supervisor.

Woods returned to the Matthaei Building in October of 1990 as an athletic attendant.  He served in that capacity until assuming his current position.  He received his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1994.

Before coming to WSU, Woods volunteered for the Westside Cubs youth athletic teams for nine years which played in the Police Athletic League (football, baseball and basketball) organization.

He served as a volunteer coach in the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan for 12 years, and also volunteered for the Detroit Chadsey football program for two years under Charles Spann.

He currently serves as Associate Pastor at Doers of the Word International Ministry.  Woods has been in Ministry for 37 years as of Feb. 1, 2021.

Woods and his wife Sonia, reside in Eastpointe with their son Terry II.  Their daughter, Ellarose is an Alumnus of Howard University, works for the City of Hyattsville, Maryland municipal government, and owner of jelisetea.
