Juan Sancho-Martinez joined the Wayne State University athletic department as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in July of 2023.
His main responsibilities at WSU during the 2024-25 academic year, are assisting with football and serving as the primary athletic trainer for the swimming and diving squads.
Originally from Ann Arbor, Sancho-Martinez graduated from the University of Michigan in May of 2023 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training while working with the football, swimming and diving, and women's lacrosse programs.
During his undergrad at Michigan, he was the recipient of the Gatorade Athletic Training Student Scholarship. He has also received his DN-2 Dry Needling Certification from the Dry Needling Institute.
