Victor Jackson joined the Wayne State University men's basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2025-26 season. He will begin his second year on coach Bryan Smothers' staff in the fall of 2026.
A native of Belleville and a 2020 Belleville High School graduate, Jackson earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from WSU in May of 2025 and is now pursuing a master's degree in the same field.
Jackson's coaching history includes five years as an assistant for Belleville's varsity boys team and head coach for the school's freshman squad. He led the freshmen team to its first undefeated season in program history (18-0) in 2024-25 and played a big part in Belleville varsity's run to the final four in 2021-22.
He is the son of Michael and Victoria Jackson, and has twin older brothers, Ryan (WSU alum) and Rashawn Jackson (MSU Alum).
