Former Wayne State University fencer Adam Accica, who lettered during the 2012-13 school year, has assisted the program as a team manager four of the last five seasons, and will so again in 2018-19.

2018-19:  Will continue serving as a team manager.


2017-18:  Returned to the fencing program after a one-year hiatus and served as a manager.

2015-16:  Served his third season as the team manager for the men's and women's fencing teams.

2014-15:  Served his second season as the team manager for the men's and women's fencing squads.

2013-14:  Served as the team manager for the men's and women's fencing squads.

2012-13:  Fenced in nine events ... placed ninth at the Danosi Open after finishing 41st at the Remenyik Open ... recorded a 6-1 mark at the Notre Dame Duals ... finished 21st at the Midwest Fencing Conference Championship and 11th at the NCAA Midwest Regional ... helped sabre squad to sixth place at the MFC Championship.

2011-12:  Joined the squad in January, but did not compete.

Pre-WSU:  Attended Macomb Community College for two years.

High School:  A 2007 graduate of Lakeview High School ... participated in swimming, baseball and golf for the Huskies ... served as a team captain as a senior in all three sports ... swam the freestyle events (500, 100) and the 200 medley and 200 free relays during high school.
