Kate Basiuk joined the Wayne State University fencing staff in the fall of 2017, and completed her second season on Coach Jerzy Radz's staff in the spring of 2019.

She graduated in 2012 with a degree in Sports Coaching and Physical Education from National University of Physical Education and Sports in Ukraine.

Basiuk and her husband, Artem, reside in Farmington Hills with their son Daniel.
