Gabby Yurik joined the Wayne State University women's golf program as a volunteer assistant coach in the summer of 2023.  She started her second year on coach Larry Hamilton's staff in the fall of 2024.

Yurik was a four-year member of the Michigan State women's golf program and earned a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management.

Yurik garnered All-Big Ten First Team honors as a junior (2014-15) after leading the Spartans in scoring average (75.33) and birdies (76).  She finished fourth at the 2016 Lady Buckeye Invite with a 217 (74-70-73).  Yurik helped MSU to the 2014 Big Ten team title by shooting a 226 (tied-for-seventh).

Michigan State Student-Athlete Bio

During her prep career, Yurik was named Michigan Miss Golf in 2011.  She claimed medalist honors at the 2011 MHSAA Division 1 Lower Peninsula State Championships with a 153 (78-75) and led Stoney Creek to a runner-up finish for the second straight year.  Yurik finished in the top five at all four MHSAA state championship tournaments during her career (first in 2011; third in 2010; second in 2009; fifth in 2008).  She won the 2012 Golf Association of Michigan (GAM) Championship.

Her father (Glenn) was a men's golf letterwinner for the Tartars in 1980.
