- Coached 10 All-GLIAC honorees.
- Coached 40 Academic All-GLIAC honorees in five seasons (2015-21).

Meredith Weaver was named the Wayne State University associate women's golf coach in September of 2014.  She was promoted to head coach in July of 2016.  Weaver completed her fifth season as head coach and seventh on the WSU staff in the spring of 2021 before retiring.

In 2020-21 Weaver guided WSU to its third straight NCAA Tournament when the event is being held.  For the second time in program history, the women's team advanced to the match play medal round of the GLIAC Championships but the win over Northwood in the semifinals was the first match victory in team history, securing Wayne State's best-ever finish at GLIACs.  Junior Daniela Moreno was a Second Team All-GLIAC honoree, while sophomore Avery Howard and junior Grace Zimmerman were named to the Honorable Mention squad.

During the 2019-20 academic year, Weaver guided the Warriors to a ninth-place Regional Ranking in February of 2020 (the only Regional Ranking prior to COVID-19).  The women's golf program also had the top GPA for all 17 Warrior sports in both the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 semesters.  In fact, the women's golf squad ranked fourth nationally in GPA according to the WGCA (Women's Golf Coaches Association).  Sophomore Daniela Moreno and freshman Avery Howard were named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC.  Howard also earned GLIAC Freshman of the Year accolades becoming the first Warrior to earn that award since the program began in 2014.

The program reached the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season in 2019 and finished tied-for-third at the GLIAC Championships before falling to eventual champion Grand Valley State in a stroke tiebreaker.  Moreno was voted to the All-GLIAC Second Team, while Anastassia Lee, Josie Kurosky and Meredith Weidner were named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC.  The team posted an averaged round of 318.2 and won the Cumberland Trail Classic.

Weaver led the program to new heights in 2017-18, guiding the Warriors to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.  She coached WSU to its then best finish at the GLIAC Championships (4th/11 teams).  Brooke Busse, and Alexandra and Anastassia Lee became the first WSU golfers to receive All-GLIAC honors in school history as the trio were named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team.  The team posted an average round of 319.6 and won three events, including the first team title in program history.  Wayne State won the SVSU Invitational (Sept. 23-24) with a 607, the Battle in Belmont (Oct. 16-17) with a 634, and the OVU Mister Bee Intercollegiate (March 30-31) with a 648.  In addition, she also helped the team collect the WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award.

In her first season as the head coach (2016-17), Weaver led the program to a sixth-place finish at the GLIAC Championships powered by the program's lowest post-season rounds in the three-year history.  The team shot an average round of 333.0 with a season low of 311 at the Northwood Invitational (Oct. 3-4).  WSU finished third at the Bulldog Invitational (Sept. 17-18) with a 644 (330, 314) and also finished third at the Battle at Belmont (Oct. 17-18) with a 647 (330, 317).

She brought an impressive career and background to the newest WSU program. The Grosse Pointe Park native was a four-year letterwinner at the University of Texas.

She has remained close to the course after graduating as a teaching professional, golf shop manager and junior golf administrator.

Weaver has served as a professional, teaching all facets of the game, at Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas, The Meadows Golf Club in Sarasota, Fla. and the Lochmoor Club in Grosse Pointe Woods.

She was an MHSAA All-State selection in 1979 and 1980.  She collected first, second and sixth place finishes in the MHSAA State Tournament from 1978-80.  Weaver was named GAM Girls Junior Player of the Year in 1980.

At Texas she collected a sixth-place finish at the SWC Championships in 1984.  She was also a U.S. Women's Mid-Amatuer Quarterfinalist in 1995.

She is married to Matt Weaver and the couple has three children (Morgan, Jack and Blake).  She is the daughter of Al and Vera McCuaig and her dad is a graduate of the Wayne State University Medical School.
