Doug Steinard, the inaugural head coach of the women's soccer program at Wayne State University, completed his initial coaching staff with the addition of Mahmound Faraj.
Faraj, a native of Dearborn, earned an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan Dearborn.
He has coached with the Michigan Jaguars, the Dearborn High School boys and girls squads, while also serving as an assistant coach with the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) women's club soccer program. Â
Faraj helped the Dearborn Pioneers to a district title and the Wolverines club team reached the Elite 8 while he was a member of the coaching staff.
