Courtney Weaver joined the Wayne State Swimming and Diving Coaching staff in the fall of 2021 and will begin her second year on head coach Sean Peters' staff in the fall of 2022.
Weaver, who was a two-year swimming letterwinner (2015 and 2016) at the University of Georgia, graduated in 2018 with a degree in Economics, then earned a master's degree in Business Analytics in 2019.
During her two seasons with the Bulldogs, she was twice a CSCAA Scholar All-American and posted one of the top-10 all-time marks in the 100 fly (52.27) in program history as well as the 200 fly.
Weaver helped the Bulldogs to the 2015 Southeastern Conference title and the NCAA Championship the following year earning Second Team All-SEC accolades as a freshman. In addition, she was a four-time recipient of the UGA Director of Athletics Honor Roll.
A three-time member of USA Swimming's Junior National Team, Weaver was also selected to USA Swimming's National Team in 2014-15.
A Davison native, she was an 11-time YMCA National Champion. Weaver was the 2011 U.S. Junior National Champion in 200 LCM Butterfly and qualified to compete at both the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
She captained the U.S. at the 2013 Junior World Championships, placing fifth in the 100 butterfly and winning two bronze medals in the 400 mixed medley relay and the 400 medley relay.
