Gabby (Erickson) Han joined the Wayne State University men's and women's swimming and diving program as the Diving Coach in the summer of 2021 and completed her first season in the spring of 2022.

In her inaugural year with the Warriors, four divers advanced to the NCAA Prequalifications with Mikaela Senkus earning two All-American certificates (third on the one-meter board and 11th on the three-meter board) and Marissa Woida attaining Honorable Mention All-American status in the one-meter diving competition.

Han was an NCAA Division 1 Honorable Mention All-American on the one-meter board as a senior in 2012.  She was the Mountain West Conference champion in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events her final season to earn MWC Diver of the Year honors.  Han received three All-MWC accolades as a junior (one-meter, three-meter and platform).

Outside of her collegiate diving career, Han was a semi-finalist at the Olympic Trials in 2016, competed at the 2013 and 2015 World Championship Trials, and was a three-meter finalist at the USA Diving National Championships in both 2012 and 2016.  

During her diving and coaching career, Han was coached and mentored by Olympian Abel Sanchez and Olympic Coach Mike Hilde.

She earned her bachelor's degree in University Studies from the University of New Mexico in 2013, while serving as an assistant diving coach.  Han later spent the 2014-15 academic year as an assistant diving coach at Kalamazoo College before spending two years (2015-16 and 2017-18) as the volunteer Diving Coach at the University of Michigan.

Han spent six years as the Head Diving Coach at Club Wolverine after previously working at West Michigan Diving Academy for two years and with the New Mexico Dive Club for two seasons.

A native of Plainwell, Mich., Han and her husband, Junfu, have a son, Silas.
