2008-09: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Swam the third portion of the 400 free relay, which placed eighth (3:28.38) after setting a school record in the prelims (3:27.49) ... finished 43rd in the preliminary 100 free (53.16).
GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Swam the third leg of the first-place 400 free relay (3:28.57), which broke Northern Michigan's 1993 conference record ... placed eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.53) ... won the consolation final (ninth overall) of the 100 free (53.21) ... came in 12th in the 100 butterfly (59.92) ... joined the preliminary 200 free and 400 medley relays, both of which qualified fourth (1:41.54, 4:10.16).
2007-08: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Participated on two Honorable Mention All-America relays ... swam the third leg of the 800 freestyle relay, which finished ninth and set a school record (7:41.26) ... also went third on the 10th-place 400 free relay which broke the school record in the prelims (3:31.16) and finals (3:30.66) ... swam the second 50 of the preliminary 200 free relay, which placed 21st (1:40.22) ... came in 36th in the preliminary 200 free (1:59.29) and 47th in the 100 free (53.93). GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Won the "B" final (ninth overall) of the 100 breaststroke (1:08.83) and finished fourth in the 100 free (53.69) ... led off the second-place 800 freestyle relay (7:49.59) and third-place 400 free relay (3:35.59) ... swam the third leg of the 200 freestyle relay, which finished third (1:39.84) ... tied for 17th in the preliminary 50 free (25.30), missing the "B" final by .06 seconds. SEASON: Led the school record-setting 800 free relay (7:41.35) Dec. 1 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational.
2006-07: GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Came in fifth in the 100 freestyle (54.40) ... won the [quote]B[quote] final (ninth overall) of the 50 freestyle (25.03) and finished eighth in the 200 free (2:03.21) ... led off the 400 free relay, which finished second (3:35.33) ... swam the second leg of the second-place 200 freestyle (1:39.37) and 800 freestyle (7:48.42) relays, and anchored the third-place 400 medley relay (4:01.87). SEASON: Was a part of four school record-setting relays Dec. 2 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational, leading off the 200 free (1:37.82), 400 free (3:34.38), and 800 free (7:46.92) relays, while anchoring the 200 medley relay (1:49.08).
2005-06: Won the "B" finals of both the 200 free (1:58.84) and 100 free (54.96) to place ninth and earn nine points in each event ... placed 18th in the 50 free (25.89) at the GLIAC Championship ... was a member of the second place 800 free relay team (7:53.02) of Burton, Duff and Koehler.
Pre-WSU: Attended Saginaw Valley State University for the 2004-05 school year but SVSU does not have a swimming program.
High School: A 2004 graduate of Heritage High School ... spent four years on the varsity squad ... made it to the state finals in 2002 and 2003 ... won the Saginaw Valley Conference Award in 2002 and 2003 ... earned all-state honors in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays ... earned the Heritage Academic Award and a place on the All-Academic team.
