Tera Winton joined the Wayne State University Sports Medicine Staff in August of 2022 as an assistant athletic trainer. Her main sports during the 2023-24 year will be volleyball, fencing and softball.
Winton earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from WSU in 2017, with a concentration in Exercise and Sports Studies. She later received a master's degree in Athletic Training from WSU in 2020.
A native of Detroit, Winton worked at the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center for five years as a Supervisor along with being a member of the Operations Staff. She was selected as the Supervisor of the Year in 2019.
Winton spent the 2021-22 academic year as a member of the Ascension Hospital staff serving as an athletic trainer at Grosse Pointe North High School.
