Callie Simpson joined the Wayne State University Department of Athletics as Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist in October of 2025.
Simpson comes to WSU after spending the previous 12 months as an Athletics Special Event Coordinator at Oakland University. Â She previously worked for The Collins Collective as Brand Manager and Venue Coordinator for three years.
The Manchester, Mich., native is a 2020 graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing. Simpson received a minor in Art & Entertainment Management.
In her spare time, she is a member of the Detroit Lions Hype Squad, the Detroit Red Wings Red Patrol and serves as a member and a Lead Communicator for the Detroit Tigers Rally Cats.
