Callie Simpson has been selected as the Wayne State University Department of Athletics Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist. Â She started her duties at WSU in October of 2025.
Simpson comes to WSU after spending the last 12 months as an Athletics Special Event Coordinator at Oakland University. Â She previously worked for The Collins Collective as Brand Manager and Venue Coordinator for three years.
The Manchester, Mich., native is a 2020 graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing. Simpson received a minor in Art & Entertainment Management.
In her spare time, she is a member of the Detroit Lions Hype Squad, the Detroit Red Wings Red Patrol and serves as a member and a Lead Communicator for the Detroit Tigers Rally Cats.
