Daeveon Cook joined the Wayne State University Department of Athletics as a Facilities Graduate Assistant in the fall of 2024. He started his second year in that position in the fall of 2025.
The Detroit native graduated from Oakland University in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Integrative Studies. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sports Administration at WSU.
He was a team manager for the women's basketball squad his final two years at OU. Cook was a court assistant for the Motor City Cruise during the 2023-24 season. He also worked at the Greg Grant Sportsplex in facility operations.
