UPDATED September 10, 2025

Jadd Harajly joined the Wayne State University football coaching staff in the spring of 2025 and serves as a graduate assistant coach with the linebackers and special teams.

A native of Dearborn, Mich., Harajly returned to his alma mater after gaining valuable experience coaching at the high school and collegiate levels.

In 2024, Harajly was a defensive assistant at Saginaw Valley State University, where he worked with the cornerbacks.  During his lone season with the Cardinals, SVSU’s defense ranked 22nd nationally in total defense (279.8 yards per game), 11th in rushing defense (85.2 yards per game), 12th in team passing efficiency defense (opponent rating of 101.64), and 24th in scoring defense (17.2 points per game).

Saginaw Valley finished 13th nationally in third down defense (29.6 percent), and 40th with 12 interceptions.  Individually, defensive backs Eli Gordon and Jasper Beeler ranked 25th nationally in interceptions per game and eighth nationally in passes defended per game, respectively.

Prior to his time at SVSU, Harajly spent the 2023 season at Detroit Catholic Central High School, contributing to an 8-3 record and a trip to the MHSAA District Finals.  The defense was one of the top-performing units in the state, allowing just 13.9 points per game during the regular season.

In 2022, Harajly served as the linebackers coach at Dearborn Fordson High School, where he helped develop a young, physical defensive unit.  He began his coaching career in 2021 as the wide receivers coach at Dearborn High School as the Pioneers qualified for the state playoffs.

Harajly earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Wayne State University in 2024.
