Kyle Lefler re-joined the Wayne State University athletics staff in June of 2021 as a Facilities Operations Assistant. He was promoted to Facility Operations Coordinator in March of 2026. Lefler oversees the Harwell Building, the Doris J. & Donald L. Duchene, Sr. Athletic Facility, and Tom Adams Field.
Lefler previously worked five months for athletics prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to coming to WSU in November of 2019, Lefler served as an athletic facility operations assistant at the University of Michigan from 2017 to 2019. There he assisted with management and policy creation for the new $280-million Sports Performance Complex. Lefler assisted in event operations during the 2019 Big 10 Indoor Track Championships and the 2019 Big 10 Lacrosse Tournament, plus several soccer, lacrosse, rowing, track & field, wrestling and gymnastics events and practices.
He also spent time at Eastern Michigan as video coordinator and operations assistant with the men's basketball program from 2015 to 2017. Lefler served as the head student manager for EMU as an undergrad from 2012 until 2015.
He graduated from Eastern Michigan in 2015 with a degree in Sport Management before earning a master's in Sport Management in 2017.
