Luc Warnock joined the Wayne State University men's golf coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2025 prior to the 2025-26 campaign.

This move comes after Warnock finished up a five-year collegiate playing career (2019-25), the first four of which were spent at Division I Northern Illinois before joining the Warriors in 2024-25, a Second Team All-GLIAC effort.

For his career, the McGregor, Ontario, native played an even 80 rounds with 5,954 strokes for an all-time scoring average of 74.43.  The lowest single-season mark in those five campaigns came with the Green and Gold, 73.133, which is good for 16th in school history.

2024-25:  Named Second Team All-GLIAC ... transferred in from Division I Northern Illinois and his presence was immediately evident ... right off the bat, Warnock tied-for-third of 74 golfers (Al Watrous Invitational, Sept. 7-8) and tied-for-fifth of 59 (Get To Foundation Invitational, Sept. 16-17) in his first two tournaments as a Warrior ... overall, the Ontario native registered a 73.13 scoring average through 30 rounds spread across 12 events ... was among the top 10 at the end of five tournaments and the top 25 for eight of them ... in those 30 rounds, three of them were in the 60s (all at the GLIAC Championships on April 18-20) while twice that many were under par ... WSU won its first GLIAC Championship since 2003, second in program history, and Warnock was arguably the No. 1 reason why ... starting with the two-round Stroke Play Championship, Warnock fired a 143 (-1, 69-74) to tie-for-seventh in the 52-player field ... facing Grand Valley State's Drew Coble in the Medal Match Play Championship Semifinals, the eighth-ranked player in Division II at the time according to Clippd Scoreboard, Warnock trailed by two shots with six holes to play before finishing with a three-under 69 to tie Coble and keep the Warriors' hopes alive ... in the Finals against Saginaw Valley State's Shea Harmeson, the individual Medalist Honoree from the day before, Warnock carded his lowest round of the season with a 67 and won the head-to-head by three strokes ... the two other top-10 performances not mentioned above were a fifth place of 43 players at the Motor City Meltdown on April 14 and tie-for-ninth of 50 at the Ashland Spring Invite on March 29-30.

2022-23:  Played in two of the first three fall tournaments ... low round of 73 came in the opening round of the Marquette Intercollegiate ... competed in five rounds with an average score of 75.40 ... link to NIU bio.

2021-22:  Played in six of the 11 events with a low round of 68, which came in the third round at the Xavier Invitational ... best finish was tied-for-sixth at the Xavier Invitational (78-69-68--215), helping the Huskies to a share of the tournament title ... NIU’s top finisher at the season-opening Marquette Intercollegiate, tying for 18th at four-under par (70-70-72--212) ... averaged 73.61 strokes over 18 rounds.

2020-21:  Played in five of the seven spring tournaments for the NIU Huskies after the fall season was canceled due to COVID ... best finish was tied-for-seventh at Missouri State (79-71--150) ... fired low round of 71 twice (second round at Missouri State, and third round at Lamkin San Diego Classic) ... averaged 76.36 strokes over 14 rounds ... earned Academic All-Mid American Conference (MAC) recognition.

2019-20:  Played in five tournaments for NIU with a low round of 69, which came during the third round at the Loyola Intercollegiate ... best finish was tied-for-10th at Grand Canyon Dual (75) ... averaged 76.07 for 13 rounds ... final three events plus the MAC Championships were canceled due to COVID. at Northern Illinois.

High School:  A 2018 graduate of E.J. Lajeunesse High School in Windsor ... was a golf letterwinner for coach Geoff Parent ... competed in the Windsor Essex County Secondary Sports Association ... also played hockey, basketball, and baseball at EJLHS ... ranked among the top-15 golfers in Canada as a senior ... was the first E.J. Lajeunesse golfer to compete at the Provincial Championships in 2018, where he finished third ... that finish qualified him for the Canadian Junior Boys Championship ... part of the Ontario team that took second at the National Championship.
