Lydia Lee joined the Wayne State University Sports Medicine department as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in July of 2024 and the 2025-26 athletic season marks her second year on Lisa Erickson's staff.

Her primary sports during the 2025-26 academic year will be football, men's golf and women's golf.

She earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Spanish from WSU in 2021, before earning her master's degree in Athletic Training, also from Wayne State, in 2024.

While in grad school, Lee completed clinical rotations at Troy High School, Birmingham Groves High School, Wayne State (2023 football) and the University of Michigan (2024 women's lacrosse).

The Clarkston, Mich., native is Mental Health First Aid certified and has her Stop the Bleed - Bleeding Control Basic certification.  Lee also began martial arts training in 2005, and has earned her fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo and third degree black belt in Hapkido.
