In March of 2024, the Wayne State University Department of Athletics announced they had joined forces with 925 Leaders.

"I am excited to welcome 925 Leaders as our official Culture and Character Development Coaches for the Wayne State Athletic Department," remarked WSU Director of Athletics Erika Wallace.  "From the first time Sterling and I had a phone conversation I knew he understood my vision for the WSU Athletic Department, because we immediately aligned on the importance of building a culture surrounding our people and their personal development.

"I believe in building a culture that not only enriches the lives of our student-athletes but our staff and coaches.  And through 925 Leaders genuine, authentic leadership, I'm happy to say we are in the beginning stages of a journey that will change the trajectory of our department and make a true impact on lives for years to come.  They are helping us to build upon our Warrior Way which involves togetherness as we continue to collaborate so that we can learn, serve so that we can inspire, compete so that we can excel, and achieve so that we can grow."

"WSU Director of Athletics Erika Wallace is an inspiring leader with a vision to make an impact well beyond the halls of the historic WSU athletics department," commented Sterling Brown, Founder and CEO of 925 Leaders.  "When she called our team at 925 Leaders for support in building a culture of leadership, we could not be more excited to say "yes!"

"Student-Athletes today are facing a myriad of challenges not seen in previous generations and Wayne State is leading the way in providing resources and support for the holistic development of their student-athletes.  Yet, student-athletes also have a unique platform for influence in our culture and are being provided the resources and opportunities to thrive like never before!  It is truly an honor to partner with the entire WSU community, to deliver our customized student-athlete leadership programming and to help develop a certain kind of student-athlete leader … a Warrior!"
