Zack Belsky joined the Wayne State Athletic Department as Creative Services Coordinator in January of 2022 and began his fifth full year on staff in January of 2026. He was named Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Brand Strategy in May of 2025.
In his new position, Belsky will provide oversight for content creation, campaign development and execution, graphic design, social media strategy, and all photo and video production.
He was recognized as the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Creative and Digital Design contest Designer of the Year.
Prior to coming to WSU, Belsky served as a graphic designer for ICON Tech Studio for over three-and-a-half years. While with ICON, he worked on many types of digital projects, including web design, virtual reality user interfaces, photo/video and motion design, and NFTs, for local, national and international clients across wide-ranging industries.
A 2018 graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a BFA in Graphic Design, Belsky worked as a graphic designer for both the EMU Marketing Department as well as the University Galleries while completing his undergraduate degree. In those roles he designed print materials, digital advertisements, photographed university events, as well as contributing to broader university-wide marketing campaigns.
Belsky is currently pursuing his MBA through the WSU Mike Ilitch School of Business. In addition, he is working as a Live Content Creator for Major League Baseball.
A native of Waterford, he and his wife, Dr. Tina Zieba, and son Wynn live in Detroit.
