Wayne State University junior third baseman Jade McGarr (Guelph, Ont. / St. James Catholic) has been selected GLIAC Player of the Week.

McGarr batted a team-leading .688 (11-for-16) as WSU went 6-0 during the week to take over first place in the GLIAC standings with an 11-2 conference record. 

She had a hit in all six contests, including four consecutive multiple-hit affairs.  McGarr had five extra-base hits for a 1.125 slugging percentage along wtih 10 RBI and a stolen base.  She did not strikeout in 18 plate appearances. 

McGarr drove in the first run of the game one win at Lake Erie, then had four RBI in the nightcap (first RBI tied the game at 1-1; second RBI put WSU ahead 2-1, then smacked a two-run home run to make it 4-1). 

In the doubleheader sweep of then GLIAC leading Walsh, McGarr scored the first run of the game, then had an RBI single to make it 3-0. 

She had a two-out, two-run double in the top of the first in game two vs. Walsh.  McGarr had a leadoff single in the fourth, stole second and scored to make it 3-0, then had a double and scored in the sixth to make it 4-2. 

In the game one win over Malone, McGarr had a two-out single and scored the game's first run in the fourth, then drove in WSU's second run in the sixth.  In the top of the first of the nightcap, she had an RBI single to make it 2-0 as the Warriors scored nine times in the frame.
