Ashley Defrain (Fort Gratiot, Mich. / Port Huron Northern) received GLIAC Women's Freshman of the Year after a fifth-place finish (21:41.8) at the 2018 GLIAC Championships on Saturday.   The Wayne State University women's cross country squad finished in fourth place out of 12 schools.
