Senior guard Brailen Neely (Detroit, Mich. / Western International) has been named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday.  It is WSU's first weekly honor of the season.

He scored 28 points on Thursday against Purdue Northwest as WSU snapped a 12-game losing streak with a comeback overtime victory.  Neely also tallied nine assists, three rebounds and two steals, while draining four three-pointers.  The Warriors cruised past Parkside on Saturday as Neely finished with 21 points, eight assists and four rebounds. 

He played all 85 minutes this past week and leads the GLIAC in minutes per game (40.0 MPG).  Additionally, Neely leads the league in assists (8.1 APG), which is a program record.  Neely ranks third in the league in scoring (19.4 PPG).
