Junior Makayla Sumrall (Roseville, Mich.) broke the WSU record for the 60m dash in the prelims clocking in at 7.57 on Saturday at the Holiday Open hosted by Saginaw Valley State University.  It was also an NCAA Provisional mark.  Sumrall broke Kierra Johnson's mark of 7.599 set at the 2016 GLIAC Championships.  Sumrall finished second in the finals with a time of 7.61.

The 4x400m relay quartet of sophomore Abigail Dunn (Northville, Mich.), Wellner, Sumrall and Kutcha finished second with the 10th-fastest time in WSU history (4:01.59).  Sumrall placed sixth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.74.
