Makayla Sumrall continued her strong season, breaking two more records during the Elaine Leigh Invite at Oakland University.  Sumrall shattered her own school record in the prelims of the 100m dash, running an 11.69 to earn the No. 1 seed for the finals.  Then, she bettered that mark to win the event crossing the finish line in 11.64.  Sumrall ran an 11.79 last month at the Texas State Bobcat Invite.

Sumrall continued her record-breaking day in the 200m dash by eclipsing the school record of 24.75 set six years ago today by Dazmonique Carr.  Sumrall ran a 24.32 to finish second. 

Sumrall was also part of the 4x100m Relay team that posted the fourth-fastest 4x100m relay time in school history finishing third in 47.67.  It was the fastest time in nearly four years (47.65 at the 2018 GLIAC Championships).
