Junior Hanne Bastiaansen broke the school record for the Indoor 200m dash clocking in at 24.84 during Friday's Saginaw Valley State Holiday Open.  The junior from Belgium set the school record for the Outdoor 200m this past spring with a time of 24.03 to win the GLIAC Championship.  A 2023-24 USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, Bastiaansen was also an Academic All-District selection in 2024 by the College Sports Communicators.  A Global Studies major, she has earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) all four semesters at WSU, including one 4.0 term.
