Mason McGuire (Lyon Twp., Mich. / Brighton [Mott CC]) hit .421 (8-for-19) in Wayne State baseball's five games last week. McGuire registered six runs scored, one home run, six RBI, 11 total bases, a .579 slugging percentage, one walk, one hit-by-pitch, a .476 on-base percentage, and three stolen bases in three attempts. That one home run was the highlight of the week as it was a three-run blast over the green monster in left center that gave the Warriors a 9-8 lead over No. 21 Davenport on Friday. That's where the score would stay as WSU won the series opener, a suspended game that finished on Saturday afternoon. The senior is now hitting .355 for the season, a number that ranks ninth in the GLIAC.
