In WSU's first game of the season, junior pitcher Sydney Long (Grand Blanc, Mich.) struck out five and walked one while allowing just three singles at Lincoln Memorial.  She retired 10 in a row after the first two Railsplitters reached in the bottom of the first.  Later on in the game, she retired another 10 in a row after a one-out single in the fourth.
