Detroit, Mich. - Wayne State women's hockey freshman defenseman Chelsea Burnett (Ridgeway, Ontario/Stoney Creek Sabres) was named College Hockey America's Rookie of the Week for her efforts in a two-game sweep of Cornell last weekend. It is her first such award.

Burnett scored two key goals against the Big Red. Her goal in game one tied the score at three, as the Warriors would go on to win, 4-3. Her game two marker put WSU up, 2-1.

Wayne State will continue its home stretch as it hosts Minnesota State on Friday and Saturday, November 10-11, at 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively. Friday night's game is Skate for the Cure.
