Ashland, Ohio -- The Wayne State University softball team (24-19-1 overall, 12-9-1 GLIAC) lost Saturday's game 10-2 in five innings at Ashland University (23-11 overall, 15-3 GLIAC).
The host Eagles scored six times on three hits and a WSU error in the bottom of the first.
Both Warrior runs came in the top of the second as
Rebecca Stanley singled with one out and
Nikki Fulton smacked a two-out two-run home run.
Wayne State will play eight home games in six days next week starting with a doubleheader on Tuesday vs. Findlay at the WSU Softball Stadium.
