Detroit -- The Wayne State softball team (12-14 overall, 2-4 GLIAC) will close out its 10-game GLIAC-opening homestand against a tough Ohio Dominican team this weekend.
Last weekend, the Warriors were swept by both Hillsdale and Grand Valley before returning the favor against Ferris State last Sunday.
WSU ranks second in the GLIAC in team batting average at .304. Individually, sophomore second baseman
Nikki Fulton (Stratford, Ont./St. Michael Catholic S.S.) is 12th in batting average (.377), while junior outfielder
Stephanie Foreman (Cambridge, Ont./Preston) is 15th (.369). Fulton is also eighth in runs scored (22), tied-for-seventh in hits (29), tied-for-ninth in home runs (3), ninth in on-base percentage (.462), and 15th in slugging percentage (.545). Sophomore left fielder
Logan White (Brantford, Ont./Johnson C.V.I.) is tied-for-10th in hits with 27.

Lauren Histed (Shelby Twp., Mich./Utica) is tied-for-42nd nationally as one of the toughest hitters to strike out.
The Panthers (12-14 overall, 6-0 GLIAC) come into Detroit as the conference's last remaining unbeaten team. ODU dropped four straight games at Northern Kentucky on Wednesday and versus #2-Indianapolis in Columbus on Thursday before heading north.
Saturday's doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. Sunday's twinbill is slated to start at Noon.
