The GLIAC awarded Wayne State University a league victory for the game that was suspended after eight innings on April 3 against Findlay due to darkness.

According to Softball Bylaw 4.D. -- "A forfeit shall result should a team not play on the date the commissioner ordered."  The league office determined the game would be completed on April 27, but Findlay did not make the trip, hence the forfeit.

Regardless of the outcome of the game, WSU was the No. 1 seed for the league tournament.  By virtue of its loss, the Oilers dropped into a three-way tie for sixth with Hillsdale and Tiffin.  Hillsdale earned the No. 6 seed with a 3-1 combined record against the other two schools, while Findlay will be seeded seventh.

Tiffin, as the No.8 seed, will face Wayne State in the opening round of the 2015 GLIAC Tournament at 10 a.m. on Friday.

In terms of national rankings, the NCAA is recognizing the April 3rd contest as a tie since more than seven innings were played.
