DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's basketball program (8-8 overall, 6-5 GLIAC) hosted Northern Michigan (10-7 overall, 7-3 GLIAC) on Saturday afternoon and a cold second half gave NMU a 83-74 victory and pushed WSU's losing streak to three. WSU led at halftime, 35-34, but a 19-0 NMU run in the second half would be too much to overcome for Wayne State.

The advantage grew to six (50-44) on a triple from Booth, which also drew a foul but Booth was unable to collect the four-point play. A 19-0 run by the Wildcats blew the game open and gave NMU a 63-50 lead at the 7:38 mark.
