Men's Tennis Falls 5-2 At Grand Valley State

The Warriors will host Davenport on March 26.

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (1-6 overall, 0-2 GLIAC) lost 5-2 at Grand Valley State (4-7 overall, 2-0 GLIAC) on Saturday afternoon.
 
DOUBLES
 
Sophomore Dom Spicer (London, England) and sophomore Luke Laws (Sunderland, England) won their match at the top flight of doubles, 7-5.
 
Freshman Daniel Grey (Wiesbaden, Germany) and junior Donovan Nguyen (Shelby Township, Mich. / Utica) fell at No. 2 doubles, 7-5.
 
Junior David Solar (Prague, Czech Republic) and freshman David Pluszczyk (White Lake, Mich. / Lakeland) lost at No. 3 doubles, 6-4.
 
SINGLES
 
At No. 1 singles, Spicer won 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-2.
 
Grey won the No. 2 singles match, 6-1, 6-2.
 
At No. 3 singles, Laws lost 6-4, 6-3.
 
Freshman Joe Steele (Beverly Hills, Mich.) lost at No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-1.
 
At No. 4 singles, Solar fell 6-4, 6-1.
 
Sophomore Ryan Okonski (Stevensville, Mich. / St. Joseph) fell at No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-3.
