Dillon McInerney Collects GLIAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

The graduate student has struck out 32 batters in 38 and 2/3 innings.

DETROIT -- Warrior ace Dillon McInereny (Richmond, Mich.) has been named GLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week as announce by the conference on Monday afternoon.  It is the first weekly award for the graduate student.

He improved to 4-1 and helped Wayne State start the SVSU series with a win by working seven innings and not allowing an earned run on Friday.  McInerney struck out five batters and allowed just five hits to lower his season ERA to 0.70.  Opponents are hitting .203 off the right-hander.

The Green & Gold will look to stay in first place in the GLIAC standings with a four-game series at Purdue Northwest beginning on Friday at 4:00 PM ET.
