Hunter DeLanoy a Preseason All-Region Selection

DETROIT -- Graduate student outfielder Hunter DeLanoy (Hartland, Mich.) was named to the Preseason All-Midwest Region Team as announced by the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) last week.  Additionally, WSU was listed just outside the top tean in the preseason team rankings at 11th.

In 2021, he was voted to the All-GLIAC First Team, while being named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.  DeLanoy started all 39 games (36 in RF and three in CF) and led the team with a .346 batting average.  He had a team-best eight home runs, 11 doubles and 40 RBI, while posting a .583 slugging percentage to go with a .384 on-base percentage.  DeLanoy was a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen base attempts and tallied 91 total bases.  He scored 34 runs, drew 12 walks and finished with a .964 fielding percentage, making three errors in 83 chances with four outfield assists.  DeLanoy led the roster with 12 multiple-hit contests and tallied a team-high 11 multiple-RBI games.

For his career, he has played in 105 games and carries a .357 batting average into his final season wearing the Green & Gold.  DeLanoy has posted 25 doubles, 12 home runs and 10 triples, while driving in 95 runs.
