Karter Fitzpatrick Named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week

The right-hander earns the award for the second time this season.

DETROIT -- Junior Karter Fitzpatrick (Monroe, Mich. / Carleton Airport) has been named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. The right-hander collects the award for the second time this season.

On Saturday vs. Southwest Baptist he struck out eight batters over six innings and allowed just one run as he improved to 3-0 on the year.

The honor is WSU's fourth weekly award of the season. Fitzpatrick was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 22, while Chris Tanderys earned GLIAC Player of the Week honors on March 7 and Ryan Korolden was tabbed as the Pitcher of the Week on March 14.
