Karter Fitzpatrick Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

The junior right-hander will now be an Academic All-American candidate.

DETROIT -- Junior starting pitcher Karter Fitzpatrick (Monroe, Mich. / Carleton Airport) has been named to CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team as announce by the organization on Thursday.  He now moves on to the ballot to become an Academic All-American.

During the regular season Fitzpatrick was a four-time GLIAC Player of the Week and went 7-1 during with a 2.81 ERA.    The First Team All-GLIAC selection struck out 50 batters in 57 and 2/3 innings.  Fitzpatrick made 10 starts and collected one complete game, while being a part of two combined shutouts.  He finished the regular season by striking out 10 batters over eight scoreless innings at Parkside, allowing just one hit.

The Civil Engineering major posted a 3.82 GPA this past year and was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) for the Fall 2019, Winter 2020, Fall 2020, Winter 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters.
