DETROIT -- The Wayne State University volleyball team (9-15 overall, 4-9 GLIAC) will be home on Halloween to face Saginaw Valley State (4-20 overall, 1-12 GLIAC) and the first serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
LEADING THE WARRIORS
The Wayne State offense has been paced by Giroux so far this fall. Right now, Giroux's hitting efficiency sits at .340, second best in the league, as she's racked up 250 kills to 71 errors on 526 total attacks. Also factoring into the Warrior attack has been a newcomer in
Molly Miller with a team-leading 296 kills (sixth in the GLIAC) as well as
Ella Uganski with 144. Miller's fellow newbie
Katie Smith is also above the century mark in kills with 139. Miller has started all 24 of the team's matches like Giroux. The third and final Warrior to have been in every starting lineup is
Kayla Dulgar and her 881 assists, 9.90 per set, both of which rank second in the conference. Dulgar's 33 service aces rank in a tie-for-sixth in the league while
Carly Rodman's 28 are behind her in a tie-for-10th. Defensively,
Kendyl Andrews ranks third in the GLIAC in digs with 374 while Giroux is slotted in 11th in total blocks with 63.
