Milovanski Selected GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Warrior kicker accounted for 11 points, including three field goals in the win over MTU.

GLIAC -- Wayne State University junior place-kicker Griffin Milovanski (Saugatuck, Mich.) was selected GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week.

On a windy day at WSU's Tom Adams Field this past Saturday, Milovanski connected on all three field goal attempts (22, 38 and 47 yards) to propel the Warriors to a 23-21 victory.  His counterpart from MTU missed on all three of his field goal attempts (29, 45 and 46 yards).  Two of Milovanski's four deep kickoffs went for touchbacks (his other KO was a pooch kick).

Milovanski increased his career point total to 130 with his 11-point effort vs. Michigan Tech.  The 130 points is sixth in Wayne State history among kickers.

His 61 career PATs ranks fifth in program history, while his 95.3 PAT percentage is third in school history (minimum 30 attempts).  Milovanski's 23 made field goals ranks fifth in WSU history, while his field goal percentage of 79.3 (23-of-29) is second in program history.

His 36 points (12-12 PAT, 8-of-10 field goals) this season leads the Warriors.  In addition, 11 of his 24 kickoffs have been for touchbacks.

Wayne State will conclude its four-game home stand this Saturday with a 6 p.m. kickoff against unbeaten Davenport at Tom Adams Field.
