WSU lost the opener in extra innings, then fell 9-6 in the nightcap.

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University softball team (11-17 overall, 1-7 GLIAC) lost both games of a twinbill on Friday to visiting Saginaw Valley State University (23-7 overall, 7-1 GLIAC).  The Cardinals scored twice with two outs in the seventh of game one to force extra innings, then won 8-4 before out-scoring the Warriors 9-6 in the nightcap.
