HAMMOND, Ind. -- The Wayne State University volleyball team (3-7 overall, 0-2 GLIAC) hit the road in league play for the first time this season on Saturday traveling to Purdue Northwest (7-3 overall, 2-0 GLIAC). The Pride ran their winning streak to six after taking down the Warriors in four sets.
HOW IT HAPPENED (23-25, -21, 17-25, 16-25)
- Wayne State scored 11 of the match's first 15 points and maintained that seven-point lead until the score was 15-8.
- Then, Purdue Northwest answered with 14 of the next 17 scores to open up a four-point advantage, 22-18.
- The Warriors used a brief 5-1 run to tie it for a final time at 23-23 before the Pride tallied the next two points to seal it.
- In the second set, Wayne State turned in a match-high .320 hitting percentage (11 kills, 3 errors, 25 total attacks).
- The Warriors led that period wire to wire, including a lead as big as six at 8-2.
- The third set was book ended by big Pride runs, including 11-2 at the start and 8-0 to end it.
- The fourth stanza was the home team's best offensively at .364 (10 kills, 2 errors, 22 total attacks).
- Aside from a lone tie at 1-1, the hosts started and ended that set with the lead, finishing it with six of the last seven points.
LEADING THE WARRIORS

Molly Miller (Oxford, Mich.) was on top of the kill department with 11 to go with two of the team's 13 service aces, which tied Wayne State's season high.
- Also on offense,
Kayla Dulgar (Warsaw, Ohio / River View) dished out 26 assists and
Kendyl Andrews ( Flushing, Mich.) racked up five aces.
- Other Warriors with multiple aces included
Carly Rodman (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester) with three and Dulgar with two.
- Defensively, the story was headlined by
Ella Uganski's (Jenison, Mich.) three solo blocks and Andrews' 14 digs.
- Dulgar also reached double-figures in digs with 10 for her fourth double-double of the season and second in as many matches.

- Wayne State was 11-0 in the all-time series against Purdue Northwest entering Saturday's meeting.
