DETROIT -- The Wayne State University volleyball team (6-8 overall, 4-3 GLIAC) dropped a four-set affair at Purdue Northwest (4-10 overall, 2-5 GLIAC) on Friday night on John Friend Court. The Pride have won three straight matches against the Warriors.

HOW IT HAPPENED (19-25, -23, 20-25, 20-25)
- Purdue Northwest hit .336, the second-highest clip by a Wayne State opponent this season.
- The Pride reached that mark with 55 kills and 15 errors on 119 total attempts.
- The Warriors responded with a percentage of .180 including 39 kills and 21 errors on 100 swings.
- That .180 is Wayne State's third-lowest output in a single match this fall.
- PNW sandwiched the match with its best efforts including a .515 hitting percentage in the first and .500 in the fourth.
- WSU also started off hot offensively with a .476 in the opening stanza.
- Wayne State racked up a season high 11 service aces, the program's most since 13 on the same court in September of last season.

Kayla Giroux was the story on offense as she hit .370 (13-3-27), her 10th outing in 13 matches with a number at least that high.
