DETROIT -- The end of the 2024 regular season is upon us for the Wayne State University volleyball team (13-11 overall, 10-4 GLIAC). The Warriors will travel to No. 12 Grand Valley State (23-2 overall, 12-2 GLIAC) on Thursday for a 6 p.m. start in Allendale before going to Roosevelt (4-21 overall, 2-12 GLIAC) for the first time ever on Friday for a 7 p.m. first serve in Chicago.
"Last regular season road trip," said head coach
Tim Koth. "We are working to get a little bit better each day, and we will need to be against a strong GVSU squad, and an improving RU team."
GLIAC Tournament
Wayne State has clinched a home court match for the quarterfinal round of the GLIAC Tournament. That will happen on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. inside the Matthaei. The Warriors' seed and opponent are still to be decided. Seed wise, WSU will either be the three or four, which means it would face Parkside or Michigan Tech, respectively.

Strength of Schedule
Once the regular season wraps up on Friday, Wayne State will have played five ranked opponents. That list includes Grand Valley State (twice), Ferris State (twice) and Missouri-St. Louis at the Midwest Region Crossover. That's the most ranked foes the Warriors have seen in a regular season since 2015 when they faced seven. Four of those seven came in the season's first four matches with Minnesota Duluth, Tampa, Wheeling Jesuit and Western Washington. The final three included Grand Valley State and Ferris State (twice).
