DETROIT -- The Wayne State University volleyball team (11-11 overall, 8-4 GLIAC) bounced back nicely from Friday's defeat to take down Davenport (9-15 overall, 5-8 GLIAC) on Saturday night, three sets to one. The Warriors have beaten the Panthers twice in a row for the first time since 2018.
"This was an important win on the road for the Warriors," said head coach
Tim Koth. "Being able to rebound after the close match last evening against a much-improved Davenport team was critical for us. We executed very well down the stretch, and had some very good offensive performances from Molly and Katie tonight."

HOW IT HAPPENED (-22, 20-25, -22, -18)
- Wayne State hit .233 for the match with 57 kills and 22 errors on 150 total attacks.
- Davenport registered a clip of .176 on 45 kills, 17 mishaps and 159 attempts.
- The Warriors best set came in the third at .314 (15-4-35).
- The Panthers most efficient stanza was the third as well at .294 (13-3-34).

Molly Miller reached the 20-kill plateau for the fifth time this season and eighth instance as a Warrior.
- Thanks to 11 digs, Miller also notched her sixth double-double of the fall and 13th as a member of the Green & Gold.

Kendyl Andrews turned in maybe the best match of her career with a personal-best 28 digs.
- That total bested Andrews' previous career high of 27 and was better than any other player on Saturday.
- Miller and Andrews were joined in the double-figure dig department by
Carly Rodman's 16 (13 last fall).
- Those 16 digs for Rodman are her most as a Warrior.
- With 45 assists, Dulgar was up to at least 40 for the seventh occasion this fall.
- Both
Kayla Giroux and Miller tallied a pair of service aces.
- Giroux and
Ella Uganski stuffed a trio of attack attempts.
