DETROIT -- The 2024 season came to an end for the fourth-seeded Wayne State University volleyball team (14-13 overall) in the GLIAC Tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday night inside the Matthaei. The Warriors took the first set against fifth-seeded Michigan Tech (17-11 overall), but dropped the ensuing three to cap off their fall campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED (-17, 18-25, 22-25, 13-25)
- Wayne State hit .186 for the match with 49 kills and 25 errors on 129 total attacks.
- Michigan Tech countered with a .280 clip on 53 kills and 18 mishaps through 125 attempts.
- The Huskies have won eight consecutive GLIAC Tournament quarterfinal contests.
- MTU's best individual set was the fourth at .542 (13-0-24) while WSU's was the first at .500 (16-3-26).
- A trio of Warriors finished with 12 kills including
Kayla Giroux,
Molly Miller and
Katie Smith (tied season high).
- Those three notched hitting percentages of .267, .143 and .231, respectively.
- Also on offense,
Kayla Dulgar tallied 38 assists and Miller was responsible for a pair of service aces.
- Defensively, Wayne State was paced by
Ella Uganski's five blocks while
Kendyl Andrews and
Maya Wegand each had 11 digs.
- Uganski hit the ball well in her own right thanks to eight kills and only two errors on 19 swings (.316).
