The Warriors led 4-1 through four innings.

CALEDONIA, Mich. -- The Wayne State University baseball team (24-17 overall, 13-10 GLIAC) led Davenport (16-26 overall, 11-11 GLIAC) 4-1 through four innings on Friday afternoon.  The Panthers proceeded to score four runs in the next five frames, including two in the bottom of the ninth, to walk off the Warriors 5-4.  WSU and DU will play a doubleheader on Saturday with game one scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Davenport opened the scoring with a run in the first before Wayne State punched back with a pair of scores in the second.  Logan Van Sicklen (Waterford Twp., Mich. / Waterford Kettering) doubled in Tony Hatzigeorgiou (Oxford, Mich.) with a hit down the left field line and Kyle Ray (Woodhaven, Mich.) singled in Van Sicklen with a base knock to the shortstop.

In the third, Owen Tuccinardi (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Skyline) made it 3-1 good guys with a solo home run down the left field line, his second of the season. Then, Mason McGuire (Lyon Twp., Mich. / Brighton (Mott CC)) scored Van Sicklen with a single to right the next inning for his team's aforementioned 4-1 advantage.

After a run in both the fifth and seventh frames, the Panthers sealed their victory with a single, triple and single in the home half of the ninth.
